Rumors of a potential assassination plot against Donald Trump are swirling once again, this time involving a concerning claim that nine surface-to-air missiles have been smuggled into the U.S. through the New Mexico border. The missiles are possibly tied to the Sinaloa Cartel and allegedly financed by Iran, but no concrete evidence has yet been provided. The source of this information, as discussed on Tommy's Podcast, relayed the intelligence through confidential human assets who reported the details to military and intelligence personnel.
According to pundits, the intended target is believed to be Trump Force One, Trump’s private plane. While the exact purpose of the smuggled missiles remains unclear, speculation abounds, with some suggesting the cartel itself may not even know the ultimate goal.
Ann Vandersteel, a journalist known for her investigative reporting, shared similar information on X, formerly Twitter, stating: “Intelligence just in from the southern border that 9 surface-to-air missiles have been smuggled into the U.S. across the New Mexico border. Intended target: Trump Force One.” Vandersteel implied the missiles could be of Iranian origin and suggested that such an operation would likely require help from insiders, possibly high-level officials within the U.S. intelligence community or the Department of Justice.
These claims, while yet to be verified, have gone viral, igniting a wave of online speculation. This marks the third rumored assassination plot against Trump in 2024, following other unsubstantiated threats. Trump himself acknowledged ongoing threats from Iran in a post on X, writing, “The entire U.S. Military is watching and waiting,” alluding to the possibility of assassination attempts and emphasizing the serious repercussions of any attack on a former president.
In addition, right-wing journalist Lara Logan fueled further concern by claiming that Trump’s plane is the next assassination target, with three kill teams allegedly already operating within the U.S. Like Vandersteel, Logan did not provide hard evidence, and neither the FBI nor the Secret Service has officially confirmed any active threats. As of now, these claims remain speculative but continue to circulate widely on social media.
